Sing! Taiyaki-kun

Sing! Taiyaki-kun (うたう! たいやきくん) is a singing taiyaki by Gemmy, sold in Japan. It can either be powered by four AA batteries or a 6V DC adapter.

While the box has no mention of Gemmy, the back of the tray mentions the company. The tray can either be silver or black.

Functions

It sings "Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun", flaps its tail to the song, turns its head, and moves its mouth while singing. You can press the button or activate its motion sensor, and it will start singing.

There is speculation, according to the Gemmy wiki, that they may have been offered as prizes in claw machines since some apparently have shown up for sale with strings tied around the box. I haven't confirmed this, though, and I have only seen one show up with strings and the pull tab.
