Koala Mama

Koala Mama is an interactive toy from the Club Petz toyline by IMC Toys that appears to have been released in 2024.

Appearance

The koala has lavender fur with white inner ears, a white mouth area, and a white tummy area. She has pink paw pads on both feet, large blue eyes, a large, black nose, and a teal, heart-shaped hatch on her tummy. The center of the hatch which can be opened is translucent, and the rim of the hatch is a much lighter shade of teal with pink flowers painted on.

She wears some teal, purple, and yellow flowers on top of the right side of her head.

Functions

You can interact with her by feeding her the eucalyptus leaves she comes with (or pressing her tongue with your finger) and by petting her head. When her stomach stretches outward, you can open the hatch to retrieve two baby koala figures.

She apparently has more than 23 sounds and reactions, her stomach hatch lights-up, she can play tunes, and the color of the two, baby koalas you get is a surprise. The baby koalas can either be blue, purple, or pink. There is a compartment at the back of the koala's head to insert the baby koala figures back into the toy, so you can retrieve them from the mother koala's stomach hatch again.

The eucalyptus branch in the second photo has red flowers for some reason, when they should be pink.

Box Concept Art & Prototype

For what appears to be a prototype version of the toy, the ears aren't as round, and the shape of the mouth area looks different. There's a possibility the one shown in the concept art for the box could also be a prototype, since it appears to have a smaller nose.
