Fairy Wishes Dora is an interactive doll by Fisher-Price. It requires 4 AA batteries, and was released in 2006. It was also present at the 2006 NY Toy Fair.

The doll comes with a larger wand for you, and a purple tiara and pink comb for the doll. Also, these dolls will contain batteries if you buy them in new condition, since the box has a hole that allowed people to press her pendant and watch her talk and sing.

Appearance

Dora has purple fairy wings, a green dress with a light green ribbon that has purple vines printed on. She holds a pink wand that has a purple star at its tip, in her right hand, and she wears a necklace with a purple star as the pendant. She also wears purple shoes.

Functions

She can blink her eyes, and widen her smile a little. Her mouth constantly remains open, but she opens her mouth a little more when singing and speaking. She can sing two songs and talk, when you press the pendant her necklace has.

She can raise her right arm, which has her wand, and pretend to catch fairy kisses with you. She can also raise her wand when you want to make a wish. According to the box, she can respond when you use the larger wand she comes with, to touch her pendant.

Prototypes

Only three prototypes are known to exist.

Prototype 1

What’s strange about this photo is the doll has green shoes rather than purple shoes, but on the back of the doll's box, you will see the doll with purple shoes. Also, its wings look gray.

Prototype 2

A prototype version of her features a pink necklace with a light purple star pendant, a light pink wand with a purple star at its tip, and what appears to be a darker green dress. It also has green shoes. I can't tell if the face is supposed to move, but it looks different. Dora's wings look white, and she has a green accessory in her hair (possibly a ribbon or flower?).

Prototype 3

I only have seen a grayed-out photo of it. I can't tell if the top of the wings really are meant to be curved downwards, or if the wings are just poorly attached. The strip on her dress, that goes around her waist, has triangles instead of a purple vine printed on. Also, she wears a different pair of shoes and her necklace has a larger pendant.
