Singing Pizza Elmo is a singing plush toy from FisherPrice that released in 2007. According to a CNN article, it was planned for release in July that year, priced at $24.99.
It requires four AA batteries.
The Spanish version was sold as "Elmo Y Su Pizza" (Elmo and His Pizza).
The plush resembles Elmo wearing a red and white checkered apron with an image of a green oval and a pizza slice on the front. Elmo wears a white chef’s hat and holds a pizza topped with green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, and tomato slices. The pizza has eyes that open and and a mouth that starts to move when the Pizza sings. Each time the pizza stops singing and before it starts singing, the pizza has its eyes shut; when its eyes are closed they resemble slices of tomato. There’s also a tomato slice in the middle of its face, which could be interpreted as its nose.
Elmo sways left and right while standing and singing the pizza song, and the pizza he holds opens its eyes and moves its mouth each time it sings during the song. Elmo also tells a joke.
The pie is made with dough and then we throw it into the air, into the air! Soon we'll add some sauce and then some cheeses, and then we bake... just like a cake! Yummy, yummy that's a pizza pie! Yummy, yummy you toss me in the sky! A pizza pie is very nice it's good to eat them by the slice, Yummy yummy Yum, making pizza's so much fun!
The only noticeable differences are with the pizza, which has no cheese, and the rim of the pizza appears to be a different shade of brown.
There are also images of another version of the toy where the peppers and rim of the pizza are yellow.
