On November 8, 2000, a party was held in celebration of 10 million Poo-Chis being sold worldwide. Since its launch in Japan on the 1st of April, Poo-Chi had sold approximately 1.2 million units in Japan and 8.8 million units overseas.
Everyone who was involved with the sales, production, development and advertising of Poo-Chi were invited. As souverneirs, commemorative wine (記念ワイン) and a "10 million units commemorative Poo-Chi"* (1000万個記念プーチ) were given out to visitors. Approximately 500 people were invited to a hotel in Tokyo for the celebration.
At the event, Poo-Chi, Meow-Chi, and Chirpy-Chi can be seen standing on silver, shiny, colorful stands, wearing a gold bow tie, with each toy's logo on the front of itself. Poo-Chi also wears a black top hat with a gold ribbon around it, and a black cape which is red beneath.
Meow-Chi and Poo-Chi clearly have heart-shaped eyes in the photo. I think these bots are replicas since Poo-Chi appears to be missing holes beneath its snout and the Meow-Chi is missing holes above its visor. Also, Poo-Chi's ears have silver lining.
This was the Poo-Chi that was given away to all those who attended the party. These Poo-Chis are only known to have come in the blue and silver variation.
