Tumble Time Tigger is a singing animated toy from Fisher Price, released in 2005. It was discontinued in 2006, according to Mattel’s website. The toy requires six AA batteries and apparently retailed for $35 in the U.S. In the U.K., it retailed for £29.99.
When you press his nose, he cartwheels while singing a parody of “U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer. He’s also sound activated and will keep cartwheeling if you clap your hands to him to get his attention.
Put your hands in the air Move your feets from here to there! I can whoop-de-doop And loop-de-loop And ale-oop too! Tiggers are made out of tiggery things Like rubber & rockets and sugar and springs! Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! It’s Tigger time!!! It's Tigger-tastic!
IDEA lab on YouTube, who was involved in the creation of the toy, shared video footage of a prototype that looks quite different from the released version. A few of its differences include how its eyes are further apart, it has a larger yellow tummy area, and how it has stripes on the sides of its legs rather than on the front of its legs.
A prototype that looks closer to the released version was also documented by IDEA lab on YouTube. The stripes on its arms are positioned differently from the way the stripes are positioned on the released version.
Both prototypes seem to be missing Tigger's black stitches that are near his tummy.
A photo of what seems to be the same prototype in a box appeared in an Amazon U.K. listing.
Another prototype can be found on Mattel’s website, and it appears to have been featured in a listing photo on Amazon U.K. Both photos feature a Tumble Time Tigger with gray plastic beneath its feet.
In other Amazon listing photos, the prototype has orange plastic beneath its feet (unless more than one unit of this prototype version exist). Photos of the version with orange plastic beneath its feet can also be found on the packaging.
