Spike is an animatronic by Phonetica One. No photos of it exist, but there seems to be proof of it existing.
It was mentioned in on a webpage from dridan.com which seems to have other articles that would have
appeared in a newspaper.
This is the only source of info I can find on Spike, which is unfortunate.
The name sounds like it belongs to a dragon, right? Maybe it is, or maybe it could even be
something similar. According to the article from dridan.com, Spike has mink and angora skin,
brass legs, and sterling-silver toenails. Spike can speak in 128 computer-generated voices. Spike
was created to greet conventioneers at Phonetica One's booth.
The article seems to describe Spike using the following description, when saying they could make
anyone a similar "toy" for about $18,000: "quick wit, Martian-like voice and real-life movements".
