FlowerBank

FlowerBank (フラワーバンク) is an interactive money box from Shine, sold in Japan. It was scheduled for release in October 2017, and it requires three AA batteries. About forty 500 yen coins can be stored in it.

Appearance

Multiple versions exist. The sunflower version can have a yellow face with lighter yellow petals, or a light pink face with petals that are a darker shade of pink. The flowers have a black pair of eyes, but no mouth, and a green stem with a green pair of leaves. The yellow version comes in a brown pot, while the pink version comes in a red pot, and the pots have the word "flowerBank" in white on the front.

The Hello Kitty version has pink petals, Hello Kitty's face, and a pink flower pot with "HELLO KITTY" in white letters on the front and a white illustration of Hello Kitty watering a flower on the front.

The Gudetama version has his face with yellow petals and a white plant pot with his name in yellow letters on the front and an illustration of himself with a flower on his head.

Functions

The only Japanese coin types you can use, according to the box, are 1 yen, 5 yen, 10 yen, 50 yen, 100 yen, and 500 yen coins.

The flower can speak, turn left and right, and bend itself. In chat mode, which can be activated by pressing the watering can twice, it will respond when you speak to it or any sounds it hears. This mode lasts for 3 minutes.

If you insert a coin and press the watering can, it will enter "saving mode" and say a phrase. You can also activate this mode without inserting a coin.

If you press the watering can thrice, it will enter dance mode. For up to 3 minutes, it will dance to sounds it hears.

In addition to talking, it can sing a charity song called "Flowers Will Bloom". The Sanrio versions apparently don't play this tune.
