Dancing Robo (ダンシング ロボ) is an animated toy from Sega that dances to music and comes with two speakers. It appears to be from 1986, and it retailed for 8,800 yen.
The robot can be powered by a DC6V AC adapter or by four C batteries.
The robot is silver, with a cylindrical body, pair of feet and arms, and hands that are white. The robot wears a clear, dome-shaped helmet with silver antennas on top. The robot also has another helment beneath which can move up and down.
The robot has a mouth area with a black, horizontal, rectangular sticker with yellow, red, green, and blue horizontal rectangles which are supposed to resemble lights. The robot has a large white spot on each foot, and a pair of glowing eyes which flash red and green when dancing.
The robot stands on a black, rectangular base with two speakers behind itself.
You can plug in a device playing music and watch it dance, or you could plug in a keyboard and have the robot dance as you play the instrument. You can also adjust the volume of the speakers. The robot taps its right foot, makes its eyes flash green and red, and raises and lowers its arms. It also moves the helmet that directly covers its head up and down, when dancing.
The uploader of these videos has a blog post with two photos of the manual, which can be found here. The manual has a sewing pattern so you can make outfits for the robot.
