Coco Touch-Pet

Coco Touch-Pet (ココタッチペット) is an interactive toy from JoyPalette, which was sold in Japan. It is resembles a pink dog with a screen for its face, and it was displayed at the 2011 Tokyo Toy Show. According to the official website, it was released on the 6th of August, 2011, with a retail price of 4,179 yen (3,980 yen without tax). It apparently requires three AA batteries.

Functions

Coco Touch-Pet has a button above its face, which resembles a pink tuft of fur, and one of its paw pads on its left foot is a button. While its face is a touch screen, it also uses its screen to display its pixelated, facial expressions and other things, such as mini games and items for your pet.

It can tilt its head to the left or right, and move its ears up and down.

Coco Touch-Pet has five types of personalities, three of which are known to include:

The personality it obtains depends on how you treat it, and apparently, in roughly 15-30 days, it can mature into an adult.

You can choose the type of face your pet has, and there are 16 types to choose from. Four types of faces include:

I don't know what the other 12 types are supposed to be. You can mix and match the eyes and mouth from the types of faces listed (maybe the other 12 refer to the different combinations you can create?).

You can feed your pet, give it a bath, and play four mini games, including a whack-a-mole game, a treasure-hunting game, a matching game, and what seems to be a game where you directly interact with your pet. Items you obtain from playing games can be collected and used when playing with Coco Touch-Pet (I'm not sure if these are items it interacts with?).

Coco Touch-Pet can also be put to sleep.

Tokyo Toy Show

Along with some boxes of the toy and units without their boxes on display, a prototype white one, one decorated with plastic gems, one with a pink bow around its neck, and another decorated another one with something on its right ear, was displayed.
