Fantastic Sea

Fantastic Sea is the name given to a bump and go dolphin by Xin Liang. It requires four AA batteries.

Appearance

The dolphin is yellow and has blue cartoonish eyes. Its lower jaw is made of clear plastic and so are its fins and tail. Its tail has painted-on white bubbles and a painted-on white soccer ball with orange hexagons, and the dolphin has a clear, heart-shaped bump on its head. There appear to be blue bubbles painted on its fins, and a sticker of a cartoonish pink dolphin is on the right side of the dolphin's body. The dolphin lies on its back with a clear figure of a mermaid with brown hair, green shells, and a partially red tail, sitting in a clam shell on its stomach.

In addition to the yellow version, the box shows an orange version which isn't confirmed to have been released.

Functions

The toy moves its left and right fins and tail, as it moves on its bump and go wheels. Its tail, fins, and the mermaid figure glow with flashing lights. You can place the mini soccer ball, which comes with the dolphin, on its mouth, and the dolphin will try to keep the soccerball floating above its mouth while moving.

The toy plays "Sister Sister" by Java.

Design Patent

A patent for the toy's design was applied for on the 5th of August, 2009, and registered on the 19th of May, 2010. Ding Jingxin (丁静鑫) is credited as the toy's designer by the patent.
