Happy Baby

Happy Baby (开心宝宝) is an interactive robot from Defa Toys. It requires five AA batteries, while the remote requires two AA batteries.

Appearance

It comes in four variations.

Happy Baby

It looks like a white creature with four legs and a spherical head. It has a blue pair of eyes, and a single, green antenna, with a circular tip that has a swirl in it. It has a yellow smile on its face, and a yellow spot, closer to where its antenna is. It also has a screen on the front of its body, three, yellow buttons on its left leg, and three yellow buttons on its right leg. The screen has a picture behind itself, of a panda and what could be another bear sitting together; the screen isn't digital. The image also appears to feature a blue rabbit, and two, unidentified, brown creatures. It also wears a yellow pair of headphones.

It may not look like a baby, but I think the design is supposed to somewhat resemble a crawling baby with a single strand of hair on its head.

Rabbit Baby (兔子宝宝)

A white rabbit with a pair of brown eyes, and a blue patch around each eye. It also has a pink spot on its head, and some pink buttons on its legs. It has pink inner ears.

Panda Baby (熊猫宝宝)

Has the face of a panda, with black buttons on its legs, a black spot on its head, and a pair of black ears.

Doraemon Version

This is a knockoff. This version is blue and has Doraemon's face. It has a pair of blue ears, with its inner ears being yellow.

Functions

It moves around on wheels, the screen on the front of the robot glows, and it turns its head left and right. The Happy Baby version of the toy and the Doraemon version have flashing, white lights in their eyes. It can play music, dance, and do story-telling. Apparently, it can teach about English, Math, the Chinese language, tell poetry, and be used as an alarm clock.

You can adjust the toy's volume, using the buttons on its legs or the remote. It comes with a remote you can use to control its movements or get it to dance, play music, or tell stories. It can also respond to Chinese voice commands.

I don't know if all of them have the same voice, play the same songs, stories, etc., but the Doraemon and Happy Baby ones can play "Ievan Polkka". A video also shows the Happy Baby version playing "I'm a Little Green Dragon" (我是一条小青龙).
