Interest Fish

Interest Fish is a singing, animated toy from a company called Nova Toy.

Appearance

The toy resembles a tropical fish and comes in three color variations:

One version is mostly green with yellow stripes, that have black outlines, painted onto its body and face. Approximately the lower half of the fish is white, its green dorsal fin is partially yellow, and its tail is mostly a bright shade of yellow. Its left and right fins, though green, are partially clear.
The pink version is mostly pink, with purple stripes on its body, near its face, and on top of its dorsal fin. The rim of its tail is partly outlined in purple, and approximately the lower half of the fish is white. Its left and right fins are pink but partially clear.
The orange version has black stripes on its face, body, and dorsal fin. The lower portion of the fish's body is white, and while its left and right fins are yellow they are partially clear. Its tail is orange with a yellow outline, while the top of its dorsal fin has a yellow rim.

Functions

The fish opens and closes its mouth, flaps its left and right fins, swishes its tail, and plays a song. The toy is only known to play "Fishes Fishes" by Apple Song Book. Its eyes move back and forth and are illuminated by flashing, blue lights. Its tail has a red, flashing light, and a gill on the left and right side of its face flaps.

Dynamoelectric Fish

A pink version with yellow stripes and a green version with blue stripes exist. Two Parrotfish versions, including a blue version and an orange version, seem to have also been sold under this name. I don't know what company sold these fish, since I don't have a better photo showing the company name.

Happy Fish

Sold by Defa Toys in yellow and in blue. I don't know what song this one plays.

Trivia

This toy was recalled by the Catalan Consumer Agency. The recall appears to have happened in either 2008 or 2009, and while the source does not explicitly state why the toy was recalled, it's likely the toy was noncompliant with one or more safety standards.
