Macarena Satochan

Macarena Satochan (マカレナ サトちゃん) is a singing plush based on Sato, the mascot of Sato Pharmaceutical. It requires three AA batteries, and according to Sato's official website, the plush is from 1998.

Appearance

He's an orange elephant, with a black pair of eyes and eyebrows. He has a pair of yellow ears with a green outline for each ear, and the underside of each foot is green. He wears a black pair of pants, and a green vest with two, yellow buttons and a white, lace collar. The vest and pants have a gold outline.

Functions

It sings the Macarena, while opening and closing its mouth, when you pinch the tip of its trunk. While this is an official plush, I don't know if they had permission to use the song, and I don't know if it has a bobbing mechanism or not.

Prototype

What appears to be a prototype of the toy has no lace, and its vest is missing its gold outline. Also, its ears jut out like airplane wings.

Gallery

The last image just shows the toy appearing in issue 99 of a magazine for collectors, called "Mandarake Zenbu".
