Motion Pups

Motion Pups are plush dogs from Curtoons, which respond to touch. The box mentions “2002” for the copyright, and the toy requires 3 AA batteries.

I’ve only seen one type of Motion Pup, but I don’t know what breed it’s supposed to be.

Appearance

This dog is brown with a cream colored mouth muzzle and fur between its eyes. It has a dark brown patch on its back near its tail, dark brown ears, and a dark brown tail tip. It has a black nose and pink tongue.

Functions

Pet its back and it wags its tail, rub its nose and it moves its tongue, pets its head and it moves its ears up and down. It also makes dog sounds.

Unidentified Plush Dog

I don’t know if this is a Motion Pup, since it’s different. It could be a knockoff or some OEM toy. This dog is mostly black with brown legs, a brown muzzle, and a brown mark above each eye. It also has a black nose and light brown tongue. Press its left paw and it moves its tongue while making licking sounds. Pat its head and it will bark and pant while flapping its ears. The video doesn't show the person getting the dog to wag its tail, so I don't know for sure if it has that feature or not.

Clifford Plush

Weirdly, this seems to have the same mechanism as the unidentified plush dog I mentioned, and it even has the same sound effects but the other dog's barks sound higher pitched. I haven’t seen it with its packaging to verify its name.

The tag mentions "2000" and the company that made it is Toy Island.
