Robot Band or LX Robot Band in Chinese (LX机器人乐队) is a series of mini, animated figures of robots sold by Spire Tech and Pretty Fun. The company which made them is Long Xiang Toys. They were also, apparently, sold by Jun Fa.
Each robot requires three AA batteries.
Each little robot stands on a circular base and has an instrument. They have a blue light behind their face, which flashes, making their eyes and mouth light up. The robots come in three variations:
Mr. Saxophone can come in red, holding a blue saxophone, or yellow, holding a brown saxophone. Mr. Cello comes in either blue, with a red cello, or green, with a brown cello. Mr. Piano comes in purple or blue.
Mr. Piano tilts his body to the left and right, with his arms infront of himself, above the piano. Mr. Cello turns to the left and right, with his arms out. Mr. Saxophone bends back and forth, while holding the saxophone.
When one robot is placed with one or more other robots, they can play music together, in sync. Also, the base has lights on the left and right side of the robot, which glow.
While these robots were either sold separately or in a set of three, Pretty Fun did sell a set of two robots together, which may have been for Valentine's day. The set was called "Robot Love Letter Band" (机器人情信乐队), and it consists of the red version of Mr. Saxophone and the blue version of Mr. Cello.
