Starry Fish is a knockoff Billy Bass by an unknown company.
They have silver, rectangular plaques with a large background sticker that either shows a reef with fish, or a castle in the sky with bubbles and stars (or sparkles?), and sailboats on water below.
Starry Fish can come in four variants, including:
The fish flaps its tail, turns its head towards you, and moves its mouth as it sings. It plays a short part of "Country Roads" and "La Bamba", and each song recording in the toy loops thrice.
According to the box, it's supposed to have an alarm on its plaque, but no footage of one with an alarm appears to have been documented publicly. The back of the plaque does have an empty spot where you should be able to change the alarm's batteries, even though there is no alarm. Some Starry Fish plaques have bubbles arranged in a way that seems to imply there's supposed to be a clock on the plaque.
There is only speculation that Starry Fishes with alarms may have been produced.
They are only known to have been sold in Russia on Avito and eBay. I didn't state this outside this heading, since at the time these were showing up for sale, I didn't archive any of the Russian listings to include them as proof; I wasn't archiving things related to singing fish at the time. The eBay seller had multiple Starry Fishes, which is where some people in the singing fish community purchased theirs from.
I think there's a slight chance they may have been sold outside Russia as well, but I'm just speculating.
