Tropical Fish is the name given to a series of animatronic fish in containers shaped like wine glasses. The box credits Alps as the company that sold them, but a photo of the base of the toy mentions Iwaya (maybe Alps distributed it but Iwaya got them manufactured?).
The following versions of the fish are confirmed to exist:
The container only features one fish, with some sand beneath, a small starfish on the sand, pieces of coral, and two seaweed plants. The fish inside the container has beady eyes and a plastic mouth that looks like a beak. The body and head of the fish have a soft coat, and the fish has thin, plastic fins and a thin, plastic tail.
A video can be found here. The fish remains in one spot and opens and closes its mouth, and moves its dorsal and ventral fins.
Apparently, the containers can light up and play a tune.
