U.Bo

U.Bo is an electronic pet by Phison Electronics. Like Rocobo, U.Bo has been compared to Tamagotchi by others due to its similarities. It requires two AA batteries.

Features

U.bo is sort of shaped like a droplet, and it has six feet. U.bo has a circular screen on its face, with a display that consists of 121 LEDs (according to the official website). Using this display, U.bo can show animations of U.bo himself, how he feels, and his actions. The toy's back has a raised bump, which is supposed to be its tail. In addition to the LEDs for its face, U.Bo has two LEDs to make the sides of his face blush, and an LED in his tail. U.Bo can move back and forth, and communicate with another U.Bo. When placed together, two U.Bos can communicate via infrared to sing, dance, and kiss each other.

The YouTube video description from Phison's channel mentions that U.Bo eats special cookies. Not sure if this has anything to do with his backstory, or if it's simply referring to the fact that the cookie is a magnetic accessory and not an actual one. U.Bo has a magnetic sensor, and will pretend to eat the cookie if you feed it.

According to U.Bo's official description, U.Bo can poop, pee, fart, and burp. He can also respond to being pet, spanked, and shaken. Feeding him is necessary to keep him healthy. How his personality is shaped depends on how you treat him. Tilting U.Bo upside down and back up can speed up his growth, but shaking him can make him feel uncomfortable. However, to clean up after U.bo, you will need to shake him.

U.Bo has been produced in five colors, including, pink, white, blue, yellow, and green. However, it's unknown if U.Bo was sold in ALL these colors.

U.Bo's list of specs on the official website mention an "infrared beacon speaker" is used to make many U.Bo dance together and communicate. I'm not completely sure if this is referring to the speakers resembling green plants, which can be seen in the background of the above image. Also, according to the official description for U.Bo, he relies on two types of energy to survive, including the spacecraft's power and the energy of love. When the spacecraft's power is diminished, the spacecraft will "lose system operation, and create instability", and replacing U.Bo's "energy system" prevents this in other words, just change the batteries.

Robot Agent (U.Bo Magic Land)

Robot Agent is software which you can use to interact with a virtual U.Bo. The official website refers to U.Bo Magic Land as U.Bo's place on Earth.

You can use your mouse to interact with U.Bo. You can click on the virtual U.Bo with the left mouse key to simply touch him. You can hit U.Bo but please don't ;-; by right clicking him. To pick up U.Bo, hold down the left mouse key, with your cursor on him. Left-clicking in any area on the screen will make U.Bo fly to the spot you clicked on.

U.Bo II

There's not much info on this version, but a demo video of it was posted to YouTube on the 22nd of October, 2010. Instead of it using only blue LEDs for its face, U.Bo II has red LEDs for its mouth and blue ones for its eyes.
