Solar Pet Kame Sun

Solar Pet Kame Sun (ソーラーペット かめSUN) is a solar-powered tortoise by Takara Tomy. It had an RRP of 2,415 yen and was scheduled to be released in February, 2013.

It comes in green or pink, and has two black dots for eyes, four feet which do not touch the ground, and a transparent shell through which a solar panel is visible. The pink version of the toy is officially referred to as a red version on Takara Tomy's website.

Functions

When you shine light on it, it moves around. If it runs into an obstacle, it will move away from it. Apparently, the more light it receives, the quicker it moves.

Takara Tomy created a song for the toy, uploading a long version and a shorter version of it to YouTube.
