Magical Makeover Fairy Fox

Magical Makeover Fairy Fox is an interactive toy from Vtech, released in 2025. It was also sold as "Lili Beauty - Magical Hair and Makeup" (Coiffure et Maquillage Magiques) in France, "Foxy the Magic Color Fairy" (Foxy de Magische Kleurenfee) in the Netherlands.

Its retail price in the U.K. was £49.99, and in the Netherlands and Germany it usually retailed for 59.99 €.

Appearance

The fox is pink with blue eyes, a white mouth area, a little black nose, and white fur on her chest. She has blue, glittery inner ears, a white translucent horn on her head, and pink and purple fur on the rims of her ears and on the back of her ears. She has a small blue spot, pink spot, yellow spot, and a small orange spot above her left eye and right eye. She has a white fringe of hair above her left eye with a gray/blue highlight.

She has a shooting star embroidered onto each paw, dark purple paw pads on her right foot, and dark green paw pads on her left foot. The metacarpal pad on her right foot has a white star, while the metacarpal pad on her left foot has a white heart. She also has pink fairy wings and a white area above both of her eyes where you can pretend to apply eyeshadow.

Functions

When singing and talking, it tilts its head left and right, and its wings glow. You can set the volume to "high" or "low" using a switch on the bottom of the toy.

You can switch between eight game modes, by pressing her right foot, and select any of the eight games by pressing her left foot.

Styler & Wand

The toy comes with a blue wand called the "magic handle". You can place the hair styler end or the brush end on the wand.

Makeup Time

Once switched on, the toy will be in "Makeup Time" mode.

Twist the ring of the brush to select a color, and touch the ears with the tip of the brush to apply the color you chose. You can do this with the horn and eyelids, too.

It's best to avoid doing this in bright areas or direct sunlight, to ensure you are able to style the fox with the brush.

The hair color styler only works on the white hair on her head and in her tail. The styler turns her white hair purple, and you can use the styler on her hair several times to make her hair more purple. Her purple hair will fade back to white after roughly a minute.

In this mode, you can press her left foot to hear her thoughts.

Show Time

She can sing up to 6 songs in this mode. Press her left foot or use the Magic Brush to make her glow so she can play the next song. She lights up as she sings.

Time for a Mission

Use the Magic Brush to deocrate her the way she wants you to. Each task is time limited.

Magic Light Sequence

A memory game involving lights. Use the magic brush to light up parts in the same sequence as Magical Makeover Fairy Fox. You can get her to repeat the sequence by pressing her left foot, if you forgot it and want to try again.

Time to Groove

When she starts playing music, she will ask you to dance with animal movements until the music stops.

Fairy Predicts

Ask her a yes or no question and she will offer a prediction. Press and hold her left foot, ask her the question, and then release the button, and she will respond.

Soothing Time

Plays soothing music as her ears light-up.

Oddly, a photo of a Dutch one in its box shows the fox with the colors for its left and right paw pads swapped.

Weird Prototype Images

There's an odd image of her which was revealed in a UK ToyFair magazine before she was released, and it looks an image of a prototype with some details, such as her eyes, wings, and flower, digitally edited on. Her ears look to be a darker shade of pink, and the inside of her ears is silver. She has pale, mint green paw pads on her front right foot with two odd white icons on her metacarpal paw pad. Her left foot has light purple paw pads with a white double whole note embroidered on her metacarpal paw pad.

She can be seen with the same green and purple paw pads in listing photos, despite the final toy not having them.

An image used in the manual shows her with eyes and wings resembling the ones used in the heavily edited prototype image. The wings look like they were drawn-on, though. Her horn appears to be covered with specks of glitter.
