Development > CGI Prototype
I'm referring to this Furby as a "CGI" prototype because it had a CGI face edited on, in an official demo video uploaded by JouéClub, a French retailer.
It's seen without its CGI face and ears for less than a second at 0:49. You are only shown a CGI Furby in the video until this mark and when you see the girl combing the Furby.
The ears have hearts and lightning bolts, while the heart-gem above its faceplate is translucent. The CGI faceplate has a lightning bolt and is decorated with dots. I can also see a small heart on it.
In the video, the CGI Furby is shown with a bunch of accessories that aren't CGI; the released version didn't come with these accessories. Some of them were used in the scene the Furby's fur is being combed. The accessories include earrings, plastic shapes that can just be stuck to the ears, hair clips, and a purple comb.
The last image is of the prototype, but with a CGI face.
Strangely, a retailer called B-Toys used an edited image of the CGI Furby for a Coral Furby listing.
