Just like big Furby, no one really know[sic] where these mini creatures come from. Even though they don't know any of our human languages (they only speak Furbish), they do know LOTS about music. Each Furblet Expresses their personality through their signature music style to show off how unique each of them are. - Official Amazon page

Introduction

Released in 2023, Furblets are the second addition to the main 2023 Furby toyline. They are soft, mini Furbys with a plastic keyclip, for you to take them on the go, and oversized ears that pop open when you press their heads.

Furblets mostly speak Furbish rather than English. They sing, respond to being fed and pet, and will say phrases or play a tune when their heart gem is pressed. Two Furblets can sing together if you hold down both their beaks until they both start singing, while a big Furby can react to a Furblet if you hold the big Furby's heart gem down until it says "Furdar activated" and then hold down your Furblet's heart gem until it speaks.

You can also just hold down your Furblet's beak, without another Furblet nearby, to hear your Furblet play the tune it would play to another Furblet.

Unlike the Furbys, each Furblet has a name and plays music from a certain genre (e.g. Ooh-Koo plays rock music).

Each Furblet requires three LR44 batteries.

Trivia: In Poland, Hasbro referred to the Furblets and Furby Boom Furblings as "Furbisie" (they didn't change this on their boxes, though).

Are Furblets Canonically Baby Furbys?

Short answer: Not confirmed, but possible. The English version of Furby and official Amazon listings refer to the Furblets only as Furby's friends. But in China, they were promoted as baby Furbys.

When Furby communicates with a Furblet, Furby will refer to the Furby as a "mini Furby" and say things such as "Furby but tiny!", instead of calling them baby Furbys the way Furby Boom does. Plenty of retailer listings refer to them as "Mini Furby Friends" (examples: Hasbro's website and Official Amazon listings).

However, in China, Hasbro advertised them under the name “Furby Mini Baby” (菲比小精灵迷你宝贝).

Examples of sources referring to it as such (because I can't archive the JD and Taobao listings):

Here's an example of Furby lore being depicted differently outside the U.S.: In Japan, TOMY advertised the Furby Babies differently from how Tiger Electronics and Hasbro advertised them. TOMY's promotional content showed Furby Babies hatching from eggs, while Flash files on furby.com and an event concerning the launch of the Furby Babies depicted an adult Furby that ends up giving birth instead.

I don't know if Furblets being baby Furbys is canon, or if only the division of Hasbro in China acknowledges them as such.

Notice

Events and merch concerning Furblets AND Furby will be discussed on the part of the site dedicated to the 2023 Furbys.

DISCLAIMER: We are NOT affiliated with Hasbro or any other companies which promote the Furby brand. This is a fan-made passion project dedicated to the preservation and documentation of info, to help others learn about the history of this Furby generation and about the toy itself. It is very much a work in progress, however lol...
